Here
are some pics from the winter of 99

One of the many ice ridges you had to look out for this year. Because the snowfall was way down from years gone by, the ice froze solid blue-green 3 to 4 feet thick creating some of the biggest and the most abundant ridges we have ever seen. This pic was taken on Eagle Lake
Here are a few more ice ridge pics taken on Wabigoon Lake. There where 5 major ice ridges across the lake so you had to pay attention to where you were going if you wanted to stay Ski side down.
Here are a couple of sunset pictures. Didn't get any of the sunrise too old to stay up that late and too young to get up that early!
The crew stopping at one of the 5 warm up shacks the power toboggan has located around the area. They each have a small stove in them, good for warming the body and your food if you are inclined to bring a snack.
A little fishing through the ice is fun once you add the 12" extension. (42" of ice whew!!!! Two holes by hand almost killed me. Maybe I'll ask Santa for a power auger this year). Having a fire is kind of part of fishing you need something to warm the bones, now if I could only get close to it.
This is two pictures spiced together to make a panoramic it turned out better than I thought it would.
