The Big Trip 2002

First couple of rest stops on day one.

Made a stop at Andy Lake Lodge for breakfast but they where closed. On to Kenora then.

Once out on Lake of the Woods after having a brunch in Kenora , we contemplated the maps to figure out which fork to take.

Last stop before our first nights lodging, its starting to get real warm, near freezing.

Day Two

What a way to start the day, couple of moons in the morn.

First stop of the day before we hit the Rennie trail and a stop at the junction of Rennie and Elma trails.

Trails are awesome groomed like a two lane highway.

Sometimes you can never polish enough.

We hit some spots in the Whiteshell with almost no snow at all.

Manitoba prairie didn't have much snow to speak of most of it was in the ditches.

The warmup shacks in the Whiteshell are the best I have ever seen yet, small log cabins with wood stacked outside and an axe to make kindling.
